Your stress level? If you said yes to all of these things, you’d be right! A health coach looks at your entire life to help you live the healthiest one possible!

With health coaching, I can help you understand what’s going on in your life, create a vision of your overall health and well-being, develop a healthy mindset with new habits, give you simple ways to maintain your new lifestyle moving forward, and encourage you throughout the process!

Hiring a health coach is similar to hiring  personal trainer. Could you go to the gym without one? Sure. Could you lose some weight? Probably. Could you motivate yourself to go a few times a week? Maybe. So then why do people hire personal trainers?

They do it because their trainer will tell them exactly what they need to do in order to lose the weight they need to and where they need to lose it (or for building muscle). They do it because their trainer will help the get to their end goal faster and more efficiently than they might have normally. And they do it because their trainer is there to support, encourage, and motivate them to do it when no one else might!



    Health coaches work similarly to that of a personal trainer, however, we aren’t just here to work on your physical, outside appearance (though I think they’re both important). We are here to work on what’s inside, as well as your overall health and lifestyle.

    I realize the term “health” can mean a variety of different things, so here are some of the many reasons that someone might seek out a health coach… 

    • Weight loss needs (learn how to avoid diets and make long-term nutrition changes)
    • Recently diagnosed with a medical condition or illness and need help understanding your dietary needs and lifestyle changes
    • Lower the risk of chronic diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol
    • Preconception, pregnancy, and postpartum health (learn what to eat during each of these stages so that you and your child can be healthy)
    • Learn ways to reduce the stress in your life
    • Improve your sleep quality
    • Learn how to stay active, even if you’re not a fan of traditional exercise programs or gyms

    While I can work with clients on a week-by-week basis, typically clients will hire me to help them over a series of a few weeks or months. Not only will you save money by purchasing a package, but it will allow us to have enough time to talk through the issues you’re wanting to work on. There will be “homework” each week that will help you continue on the right path, make changes as we go, and get you to your end result as quickly as we can. We can always add on additional weeks if you feel like you need more than 8 weeks, or we can have a “refresher” consult later on, if you need to just talk through a small issue or two.

    With the one-time consultations, that would be more ideal for someone who just wants me to provide them with a conversation and feedback about something very specific.     Not only am I a health coach, but I’m also a life coach, business coach, nutrition coach, sleep coach, parenting coach, lactation counselor infant massage educator, and mama of 4 children. While some of these topics might be covered briefly in a typical health coach’s educational training, I’ve actually been separately certified in each of these categories. This means that I have a lot more training in these areas than most, and I am very skilled to help you in any area of your life that needs changing.

    Because of this, I take a broad look at your entire life to help you understand where your road blocks might be coming into play. You might be very surprised at what you learn! Our health coaching sessions will likely include conversations about your life, overall health, diet, sleep, family, parenting skills, career, and more! My job is to help you understand what in your life is keeping you from achieving your goals, both personally and professionally, and then help you to overcome or move past them!
